In loving memory ~
Lorn Lyle Ramstead passed away on June 3rd after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 68. He is survived by his beloved partner Sheri, son Cory (Jill), daughter Chrissy (Rex) and his grandchildren: Zachary, Liam, Zoë, and Anabel. He was preceded by his parents Emily and Lyle Ramstead.
Born on Christmas Day in 1955, Lorn grew up in Chelan, SK. He moved to Prince Albert, SK to work and raise his family. He was a member of the Optimist Club. He spent countless hours at the rink watching his children figure skate and served as the President of the Prince Albert Figure Skating Club for a number of years. He was a loyal fan of the Montreal Canadians and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Lorn enjoyed listening to live music, dancing and dining out with Sheri. Together they participated in a bowling league before moving to Duncan in 2020. Lorn spent hours roaming the roads throughout Vancouver Island on his motorcycle and enjoyed attending many activities with his beloved grandchildren.
Lorn was known as a kind and gentle person
with a joyful disposition.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family
and all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, B.C.
